The Kootenay Sampler
This is one of our most popular packages.
It is a progressive 7 day powder experience.
The trip begins with an evening in Nelson and a warm up day at White Water Ski Resort. Then you'll enjoy two consecutive days of snowcat skiing skiing or riding in the legendary Valhalla Mountain Range, and stay at the Prestige Resort in Nelson on the waterfront on Kootenay Lake. Day 4 is all about rejuvenation, resting the legs, and perhaps a visit to the famous caves at Ainsworth Hot Springs before the transferring up to our mountain top lodge for the pinnacle of this great trip.
At Snowwater Heli Skiing, you'll experience private heli skiing in small groups of 4, with an exclusive setting providing the highest level of service in the industry. Unlimited heli, wine and beer included - you can't go wrong!
It is truly a one of a kind vacation.
DAY 1
- You need to arrive the night before the first day of skiing to ensure you are here on time and well rested. Your trip includes 4 nights at Nelson's Lakeside Prestige Resort and Convention Centre
- A hot breakfast is included each morning of this trip
- A day pass for White Water ski area
DAY 2 and 3
- 2 days snowcat at our sister company, Valhalla Powdercats, lunch and morning snacks included
- A hot breakfast at Prestige Resort in Nelson
DAY 4
- A hot breakfast at Prestige Resort in Nelson
- Day pass for Ainsworth Hot Springs Caves and Mineral Baths.
- 4:30 pm transfer from our base office to Snowwater Heli Skiing by van and snowcat.
DAY 5, 6, and 7 (everything below is at Snowwater lodge)
- 3 days of heli skiing with Snowwater Heli Skiing

The Full Snowcat
There are many reasons to book a full snowcat, especially if you are very keen to get as many runs as possible.
We operate ONLY two cats in our huge and varied terrain. This means way more powder and untracked turns for you and your friends. This allows us to better cater to your needs and desires, and not be limited because there are 3 or 4 snowcats worth of people trying to share terrain. Valhalla offers the best value, most fun, and highest level of safety in the business.

The Big Powder Safari
This is a new package designed to allow you a chance to experience a progressive powder experience at two snowcat operations.
Warm up your ski legs at Red Resort, getting comfortable with powder in the trees. Progress to cat skiing at Big Red cats, based out of Red Resort, where you can try deeper powder and intermediate terrain in a backcountry experience. Finally, you will feel much more prepared for the big Valhalla mountains when you come ski or ride for the culmination of this trip with us.
A NEW LOCAL COMBINATION SNOWCAT/SKI HILL TRIP:
- 7 nights accommodation in Rossland
- 2 days skiing/riding at Red Resort
- 2 days cat skiing/riding with Big Red Cats

Sublime Powder Safari
This trip is also available without the ski hill portion.
The Sublime Powder Safari offers you 3 days at Big Red Cats, and 3 days with Valhalla Powdercats, providing you with a great variety of terrain, both intermediate and advanced.

BOOKING
- A 50% deposit is required to book your trip.
- All guests must be at least 19 years of age and are required to sign a waiver prior to their ski day.
- Please take the time to read and understand our terms and conditions.
- We strongly suggest that you purchase both cancellation insurance and medical evacuation insurance. We reccommend Sanderson Travel Insurance.
- Rosignol S7 fat powder skis are available for rent at $30/day. Pole rental is an additional $5/day.
